Dhamma Ketu Vipassana Centre is in village Thanod (via Anjora), District Durg — one of the four Vipassana centres in Chhattisgarh.
Beginnings
With the blessings of Pujya Guruji S. N. Goenka and the constant encouragement and guidance of Shri Laxmi Narayan Rathi, the foundation (bhoomi-poojan) of Dhamma Ketu took place on 19 September 1995.
Built with the Dhamma service, labour and donations of countless meditators, the centre has held regular Vipassana courses since September 1996.
The centre today
- A green and peaceful campus of about 5.76 acres
- A pagoda with a golden spire
- 10-day, Satipatthana, one-day, children's and teenagers' courses through the year
- All courses are free — run only on voluntary donations of past students
Dhamma service
The centre is run entirely by volunteers. Old students can serve on courses and grow their paramis.
